Private Alaskan Ice Fishing

If you’ve never fished on a frozen lake, this is the experience for you! Enjoy a relaxing day of ice fishing, surrounded by picturesque woodlands, with majestic mountains. Your local guide will provide you private instruction and all necessary fishing gear for a great Alaskan experience.

A few of the lakes we know around the greater Anchorage area are home to Rainbow trout, Arctic char and Cherry salmon.

When we begin our day, we’ll set up a cozy, heated ice fishing tent stocked with hot drinks, snacks and chairs. We then use a helpful sonar device that shows us the structure of the lake bottom; this ensures we fish at the most strategic locations within the lake. Once we choose our location(s), help your guide create a fishing hole in the ice using an iconic motorized or hand auger!

Your guide may cook one of your fresh catches on a grill to eat during the day. For the purposes of keeping a sustainable fisheries population in these lakes, the rest of the fish we catch are “catch and release” only.

At the end of the day, take home your own Alaskan ice fishing rod as a souvenir!
