Travel a spectacular ice road ecosystem in our comfortable, warm tour van with a life-long Alaskan guide. The 1 hour drive includes fantastic photo opportunities, tasty snacks, Alaskan glacial water, and possible wildlife viewing!

It takes special skills to navigate this frozen landscape and your guide will teach you how along the way. The unique icy area is only accessible by a fully winterized vehicle, snowmobile or by dog sled.

Explore one of the state’s many small communities that are the heart and soul of Alaska. This unique town is built around numerous lakes and streams, with many residents choosing to live on islands and other off-road areas only accessible by boat or ice road, depending on the season. Learn from your year-round local guide about the rural lifestyles within this beautiful corner of Alaska and the neighborly camaraderie that the extreme environment fosters, even when the “neighbors” are not close by. Insider knowledge from a year-round local is always something to value!

A fun snowmobile ride on a massive frozen lake is included on this journey. Enjoy the thrill on this winter ride with spectacular views. Your guide will instruct you how to safely operate your snowmobiles before heading out onto the trail. They are quite easy to use and fun to ride! Our snowmobile ride takes us to a destination you may find as the most unique restaurant you may ever eat at… the restaurant is on a quiet island, in the middle of a frozen lake!

In addition to your tour van and snowmobile exploration, ride the snow and ice on a dog sled! Dog mushing is a wonderfully popular add-on! Explore the ice the way the mushers do, with their furry friends!

Of course, at all times during our drive, we’ll be on the lookout for moose and other wildlife! During the day, we make a stop at a wildlife viewing platform to look for moose. Binoculars are provided for everyone on our quest.
