On this private, custom tour, your Glacier Guide will pick you up around 7:30am at any Anchorage, Eagle River, Palmer or Wasilla location of your choosing. Relax in our comfortable tour van during our spectacular drive to the Glacier. During the drive, drink Alaskan glacial water, enjoy good snacks and learn insider Alaskan knowledge from a year-round local. Insider knowledge from a year-round local is always something to value! Our van always has a cool collection of Alaskan artifacts for everyone to hold: wooly mammoth tusk, Alaskan fossils, ivory fire starters, a vial of fresh Alaska gold from our mining claim, local geological samples and more.

While on your Glacier Hike, learn about glaciology including: glacier types, geology, glacial moraines, glacier vocabulary, seasonal changes to the glacier and please ask as many questions as you can think of! Our hike consists of a few miles of mostly flat, but somewhat uneven terrain. We’re typically out on the glacier for around 3 hours. Being on a private tour, we don’t have to keep up or slow down for anyone else; we hike at our own comfortable pace for everyone in your group. We use proper safety gear at all times including: trekking poles, ice helmet and ice cleats. We do provide hand/toe warmers as well.

During our hike, we’ll stop at the very best locations to take the perfect photos. Every photo you take on the Glacier is worthy of new desktop wallpaper! Your Guide can take as many ground portraits of your group as you would like. Lastly, at the end of our hike, show off your arctic abilities to your friends or family; take an epic photo in front of the glacial landscape you’ve explored with our giant outdoor thermometer!

The day doesn’t end there; on the way back home, stop at a majestic viewpoint where your guide, a licensed Drone Pilot, will take a complimentary aerial portrait of your group. After your complimentary aerial photo shoot, enjoy lunch at a cool, local, gourmet restaurant. During lunch, your guide will process the portrait and send it to you, ready for posting to social media! At the end of your journey, your guide will be happy to drop you off anywhere you would like in the Anchorage, Eagle River, Palmer or Wasilla areas.
